Frank Whately, who taught for many years at Tiffin, has published a book about the evolution of the Rose Theatre in Kingston.
Mr Whately began campaigning for a theatre in Kingston in 1980 and in 1990 became a founding director of the Kingston Theatre Trust. After
leaving Tiffin School he moved to Kingston University to create a Drama Degree programme and to develop the relationship between the university and the Rose. He is an Honorary Fellow of Kingston University and an Ambassador of the Rose Theatre as well as being an award-winning writer and director whose productions have been seen around the world including on Broadway in New York and in London’s West End. All proceeds of the book will go to the Rose Theatre’s charitable funds. You can purchase a copy of the book here.
