On Tuesday 25th March, our top senior boys competed in The School’s Head, the premier junior head race. Having to race up a category, they bravely entered Championship Quads and recorded an impressive 11th place overall out of 33 crews. A small altercation with an umpire’s launch in the fury of battle, meant an unfortunate stop of a few seconds, denying them a top-10 finish. Despite this, the team rowed impressively, stepping up their performance on this national stage.

The next day, we took all of our other crews, both Year 9–13 boys and girls (from both Tiffin and Tiffin Girls), to Eton Dorney Lake. All crews raced well, coming largely mid–top table, amongst much more experienced crews. For one of our crews, it was the first time we had ever fielded a Year 8 girl, and the crew acquitted itself admirably.
